About Human Designs

Human Designs® was conceptualized as a new generation of personal training model to service the ever changing landscape of the fitness industry. With the notions of individuality, form preceding function, and the necessary balance of mind, body, and spirit being the primary tenants of program and lifestyle design. Fitness and Wellness in today's ever changing world can present more wonderful choices that can ironically make you less inclined to really choose what truly is best for your life, and for your present goals. The key here is PRESENT goals, and to realize that as humans we evolve and so should our concepts of fitness. We should never strive to create a "program," but in fact, strive to create a lifestyle, and one of not just good choices but good, consistent choices. At Human Designs® we believe in constant learning and growth as the only thing we are ever truly guaranteed is change. Drawing from over 20 years of experience we have put together an extensive network of professionals from all areas of health and wellness, so we can guide you to make the best choices for yourself, your present health and nutrition goals, and hopefully for many years to come. The only thing to remember is the age old saying that "nothing works unless you do." We wish to not only serve as a resource and service to individuals seeking to improve their health and fitness, but to trainers and health professionals alike to increase the efficacy, ethics, and ever growing importance of being the best you can be in all aspects starting with yourself and bringing that to the world in which we all share.

About Ken.
My name is Ken fernandez
I have been a personal trainer since 1997. I have worked in the hospitality and the fitness industry for the past 20+ years, managing and training personal trainers for private companies and national franchises, restaurant/hotel operations & management, & privately as a fitness & hospitality consultant. I am a natural bodybuilding competitor & a Special Olympics volunteer coach & supporter.
I was formerly an overweight child & Jenny Craig client, but after years of childhood struggles with weight gain, I found my passion in personal training. I started with humble beginnings as a weight room attendant in college for the "free" gym membership just as a way to practice and study the craft he would come to love. I studied various exercise modalities from Yoga, Pilates, gyro-tonics, & some boxing & martial arts. I eventually went on to run a successful training business & manage trainers for national franchises & independent owners alike.
My clientele has included a wide range of individuals from CEOs, Heads of State, nationally recognized thought leaders, Division One college athletes, stage actors, average men & women alike, & post-rehabilitative patients.
